Percussion, Woodwinds and Brass Instructor
Cory Pederson is a graduate of Portland State University in Music Education. He has studied trumpet for 22 years and has played in many ensembles including an award winning marching band. He is currently a member of the North Coast Jazz Band directed by Lee Stromquist and the North Coast Chamber Players. Cory has built a new band program for the Jewell School District, which is now in its fourth year. He is also working on his Masters degree in music education. Cory is also conductor of the Columbia River Symphony, a community orchestra, with members from Clatsop county and beyond. Together with his wife Angela Pederson-Calvin, they hope to provide quality music while promoting cultural enrichment and musical education to the community.
